OCTOBER SESSION: FALL REJUVINATION

A new format will begin in October. Classes will consist of instruction in Ayurveda (diet and lifestyle) and yoga.
4 week session: October 3, October 17, October 24 and October 31. Class will begin promptly at 5:30 pm and end at 6:45 pm. Bring a notebook and plan to sit for a 20-30 minute lecture on Ayurveda followed by a 45 minute physical practice consisting of asana, pranayama and meditation/relaxation related to the current teaching on Ayurveda. Take home practices will be given. If you would value time to catch up with friends and chat arrive at 5:15 pm. Investment: $60 per person

Fall is an ideal times to cleanse the body according to the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, Sanskrit for "life/vital power and knowledge." Certified Ayurveda Yoga Specialist Laura Coburn will guide you through the steps involved in preparing for a gentle cleanse, designed to reset the digestive system, detoxify the body and pre-pare it for the deep nourishment required to see you through winter. Handouts — including a shopping list — will be provided and other practices — including yoga and meditation — will be explored. Cleanse kits and supplies will be available for purchase. This 4 class session (held over 5 weeks) is approachable, and suitable for everyone — no prior experience with Ayurveda or yoga is needed.
